Increase market penetration, brand awareness and brand loyalty.

When we met them in 2015, D9 Brewing Company (Cornelius, NC) was on the verge of scaling their keg distribution from local to regional, and they were in the initial stages of retail distribution with their lineup of 4-pack bottles.  They had found early success with the quality of their ales, but found that their visual branding failed to adequately reflect their products and was hurting their perception in the market.

Solution

Full Brand Refresh

After a full audit, we developed new brand standards for all existing product lines. Inspired by their slogan, “Fanatical Ales,” we overhauled package and label imagery and developed visual assets and display standards for three new product lines: Systema Natura, Defying Gravity, and Wild Things.

Results

The new brand was very well received by D9’s distribution partners, retailers and taproom customers. Following the branding update, D9 saw an immediate increase in retail sales and brand recognition. One of the new product lines, Systema Natura, even won a Gold Medal at the 2016 Great American Beer Festival. D9’s reach has since expanded from the Carolinas to encompass the entire southeast, from Washington, D.C., to Florida.
